AUDITION NOTICE – Mythos: The Crimson Chorus – Development Workshop

Seeking 4 singer/actors for a 6 day development workshop and single showcase performance of a new vampire rock opera – Mythos: The Crimson Chorus. Aug 20-25, 2012 Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, Toronto, ON

Audition date is Sunday, June 17th, 2012.

2 male rock tenors, 1 female rock soprano and 1 female rock mezzo required. Equity and non-Equity actors will be considered for these roles. We encourage ALL ETHNICITIES to apply for these roles.

Aethan – Male Vampire (lead) ancient, arrogant, handsome and charismatic. Age range: 20-45 years. Rock Tenor

Marcellus – Male Vampire (supporting) cocky, sarcastic, showman, never serious. Age range: 20-45 years. Rock Tenor.

Cate – Female Human (lead) innocent, attractive, naive but strong-willed. Age range: 20-30 years. Rock soprano with strong head voice.

Hemera – Female Goddess (lead) Vengeful, manipulative, beautiful, frightening. Age range: 20-50 years. Rock Mezzo/Alto.

Come prepared with a rock song of your choice that shows your vocal and dynamic range. An accompanist will be provided. Actors selected to audition will be contacted with specifics.
